Tip: Find Special Items
There are three special types of items that are found almost exclusively in their respective dungeons. These items are useful for trade, fulfilling donation quests or for purchasing certain kinds of weapons.
Power Gems can be found in the Lost City.
Ooze can be found in the Ancient Forest.
Necrystal can be found in the Necropolis.
Tip: Bonus Dungeon Treasure
Every tenth level of a dungeon contains extra treasure. Make sure you search every corner of the dungeon for the rooms that contain lots of bonus chests. Inside, you will find tons of top-dollar gear, including lots of armor and high level weapons.
Hint: Shop with your Sword!
A quick way to gain exp/items/gold is to make an side trip to Tanglewood, The Badlands, or The Frozen Wastes. Each location has a portal producing endless streams of Monsters, most with loot. The trick is to equip for the trip: "Seer" for experience, "Ivory" for items, "Greedy" for gold. Just follow the stream of monsters to the portal. When you've had enough, smash the portal to aid the nearby villages. Don't worry it regenerates so you can go "Shopping with your Sword" again!
Hint: Reagents
Reagents are items that can be used with the proper receptacles at the towns to increase the stats.
Potent candles are used with the Tome of Knowledge at Westhaven to gain intellect points. They can be found at the Necropolis.
Power ores are used with the Golden Statue at Hom to gain strength points. They can be found at the Lost City.
Life seeds are used with the Life Chalice at Rygard to gain health points. They can be found at the Ancient Forest.
Hint: Bomb Trick
Any type of bomb can briefly stun all monsters, preventing them from attacking. Use bombs to defeat bosses and other powerful enemies more easily.
Hint: Special Resources
Different special resource items can be found, depending on the area. These items can be used to purchase certain items and to complete certain donation requests.
Necrystal can be found at the Necropolis and Tanglewood.
Power gems can be found at the Lost City and the Badlands.
Ooze can be found at the Ancient Forest and the Frozen Wastes.
Use Armor Wisely
Avoid wearing metal armor against enemies that have good electrical attacks (Undead). Instead, get a higher-level Leather armor to protect yourself. Don't even dream of going to the lower regions of the Necropolis wearing metallic armor (Plate or Chain).
Hint: Treasure in Dungeons
Every tenth level of a dungeon has an area that contains several treasure chests. Open them to find equipment that can be sold for extra money.
Tip: How to Use Reagents
There are three Reagents in the game, which will help Anna grow her abilities. These can be found in each of the three Dungeons in the realm. Once found, they can be taken to the reagent receptacles in each of the three towns.
In Westhaven, place a Potent Candle in the Tome of Knowledge to gain +1 Intellect. Potent Candles can be found in the Necropolis.
In Rygard, place a Life Seed in the Life Chalice to gain +1 Life Force. Life Seeds can be found in the Ancient Forest.
In Hom, place a piece of Power Ore in the Golden Statue to gain +1 Strength. Power Ore can be found in the Lost City.
